  • Favorite Dir En Grey CD?

What's your favorite DeG CD? I only have Vulgar now and I don't know which to buy next. XD

Re: Favorite Dir En Grey CD?

Old post, but worth posting in.

Kisou. ( Embryo, Jessica, and Filth all kick ass)

Vulgar has too much of a nu-metalish sound to it. Not something I'm into atm.

I hate them now. Or at least everything after Six Ugly. They are , basically, combining Linkin Park sound with American Post-Hardcore/Emo and calling themselves a "laid-back visual" band. Clever Sleazoid. their new single, is ****ing horrible. Kyo sounds like an orc from the "Lord of the Rings: Two Towers" screaming his head off, and it's nothing but jibberish. The guitar sounds very bland, and has Die no longer has any range on his notes. Shinya and Die also have traded looks, practically. I now confuse the two.

Kyo also looks like an idiot. The only thing that prevents him looking like the Singer from 'My Chemicle Romance' is his Japanese-features and his ****ing horrible braces.

HAHAHHA Agna I agree whole heartedly.

Except Vulgar.. I love that album (it was my virgin album though)

I am in love with all of their albums and songs, but was highly dissapointed with Withering To Death. Clever Sleazoid is a cool song to rock out to and you know, scream ONE DAY I WILL F*** YOUR PARENTS!!! over and over again just cos it sounds neat to say to random people walking down the street etc.

      Anyways.

I just posted this on another thread (japanese music) sumthinerother.

WTD sounds completely emo and stupid and dumb and crappy compared to their earlier work, but they've stated that they were experimenting with western influences (emo MCR crap basically). I like the melodies and I love the composition of the songs but not too fond of the lyrics and the "western influences" about it.

Sir/Madam, if you're going to get another album from them, just get the stuff before Vulgar, and their new single.

Their new single is so pretty. I have a soft spot for Kyo's voice and I cried I was so relieved that they stopped it with the whole "i'm going to scream till my own ears bleed" stuff.

The Clever Sleazoid single, if *either* of you have heard it... you can tell Kyo's voice went to sh*t during their european tour. The entirety of WTD album is screaming (97% of the songs are at least -.-). It puts a lot of strain on Kyo's voice during the shows ;_; They even got boo'd once, i hear, cos Kyo's mic wasn't working for some reason.
