Anybody here see the movie yet?
It rocked wether your Red or Blue. Everybody should see this movie.
Anybody like any specific parts in the movie?
I really enjoyed Michael Moore in Washington asking the Congressmen if they wanted to sign there kids up for the war lol that was classic.
I also thought he did the World Trade Center Crash really well...how he didnt show the building once but he showed and focused on the people.
this movie is the best, i plead you all who have some sort of pride in this country, bush hater or not, to see this movie.

I liked the movie a lot too. It was very funny and well put together. The use of music was done very well too.

For people who don't believe Michael Moore's assertions one bit (a lot of material is from his books) you should still see the film. Think of it more of a roast of George Bush followed by an anti-war film (which you probably see in the liberal news every day anyway)

His conclusions may be throw away for some people, but the war footage, including interviews, is not.

Im going to withold comments on the movie (not Pro-Bush, but I think Michael Moore is a habitual liar). I will say it was well made though but I will leave it at that.

Biased opinions throughout the movie... It was well put together though.

Bowling for Columbine was far superior.

well put together but Kilgraw said, he schewed it alot. It's not a movie that will change my Republican views but all in all i thought it was fun. The Music he used was great. I also think he wnet over the line in a few cases, like when he showed the chared bodies of the Black Hawk pilots being dismembered and hanging from the bridge.

Also about the 7 min after the first plane hit. I also would of just chilled with the kids. Kids can get scared really easily and if you president rushes out you know they would be scared. Also allowing his staff back in Washington to give him an assesment (which i one reason he waited) about wether he should rush back or wait it out down was a perfect move. He was in a classroom where he had no visual knowledge of waht was going on.

Eh... movies are considered "entertainment", as to why I am moving this thread to the "entetainment" forums.

Hey, I liked it. You cant lie with actual footage. Like the fact they said in 2001, that Saddam in no way no how have WMD or Nuclear capilities and then started to change their tunes in 2003.

Also, I liked the part where they said the report they had was too vague about terrorist threat in America. When it clearly state "Al Queda in US" hell they even said they were in flight school or planned on hi jacking a plane.

And of course how a soldier make 3000 dollars per week patrolling around 2 and 1/2 miles and how Dick Cheny old company people drive a shitty bus and make 8k a week. That's jsut wrong.

Added to the fact that Bush cut Milatary spending, Their pay and their health benfits. Geezus people, you call 5000 soldier with no legs and no arms entertainment? You called those charred body of ours soldiers entertainment?

                My two cents.

I just wanted to say first that I haven't seen this movie yet, and I'm still deciding whether I really want to waste the money on it. I'm not too big on Hollywood people putting in their 2 cents on politics, but whatever. The thing about politics, is that taken out of context things can look pretty stupid. For example, people like to cite that report about how terrorism was indeed in the US, and how Al Qaeda had plans, etc, etc. However, the President as well as his cabinet have a lot of decisions to make on issues like this. What if the President had pushed for some funding on anti-terrorist support on the homeland here BEFORE 9/11 and nothing ever happened? It would look like he was wasting funds and people would have slammed him for that. This is just one of many things that might go into each decision, all possibilities have to be carefully weighed. In all honesty, I don't know if I would've taken terrorism that seriously either if I was in Bush's position. Hell, I take the "Orange terror alert" with a grain of salt everytime I hear it, and this is after all the terrible events of 9/11.

I'm Canadian so I won't jump into the whole american politics arena but I will suggest that if you like Michael Moore movies that you go find "The Big One" and go rent it. I think it's probably his best movie. He has a sit down talk with Phillip Knight about his factories which was quite interesting.

We'll they're not false per se. Just don't let him string you around. :hoo:

9/11 is actually quite true, it's a slice of reality, just strung up in such a way.

I don't think people will buy the conspiracy theory, but yea it highlights several problems the bush admin, government, and Army in general.

They army's "look for no life's" recruitment regime is very definitely real. If they find a guy that doesn't seem to be enjoying his life (alone, no self confidence, and in a poor neighborhood) He's a prime target.

                              With that said,
The pop-documentary would of been a lot better if they took out a good bit of the interviews...they just slow the pace down, which you don't want when you're trying to surprise people. I got bored around then, but the 1st half was quite good, conspiracy with sarcasim thrown in.

Best bit to me was the secret service part...I mean really... they obviously know the guy that's snooping with a always cameraman behind him... there are easier ways to get rid of him without adding fuel to fire.
