final fantasy movie

I think I'd choose 5 since 7 and above have 3d movies wich kinda make it a movie and 5 is my favorite 2d final fantasy so....

sure, the other have 3d FMV movies, but, the FF V psx remake also has fmv's if i'm not mistaken, and it would still be great to see the best storyline in a 3d movie like 'the spirits within', and in my opinion, ff VII has the best storyline, plus, i'd like to see sephiroth in such magnificent 3d, heh.

I do like the movie, but the question is which FF GAME should be remade as a movie. No one said the other movie sucked...and i think Madme would agree

I never said anyone hated it.. I have just heard alot of other people (not on this forum) saying that it sucked.. I was just wondering if you knew why people didn't lke it.. sorry :sweat:

people don't like it because it has nothing to do with the storylines that were used in the games, and that it hasn't got any magic or RPG style battle scenes. Most of the people also think the storyline sucks. But i don't...i love that movie! They could have made it more fantasy style though (the magic etc.) but really...i don't care that much

Well, you do have to give credit to square for trying.. I loved the story line, and I don't care if there was magic or anything like that in it, I admit they could have done better... but I loved it how it was.. chances are they proboly won't make another movie though..

sure, another story line would be great, maybe a prequel or a sequel of any of the existent games? or maybe a totally new story set in a fantasy land with mighty warriors on a mystic quest for freedom with only the aid of their trusted swords and magic....or something like that

meh, i liked The Spirits Within as a movie, but it had nothing to do with fantasy except for the thing about Gaia... and, i think they should make a FF movie with a new storyline, and stuff, and like make it the next FF game, like FFXIII, i personally think that would be pretty cool. but as for an existing FF storyline into a movie, it would probably FFIV, V, VI, or VII. I didnt really like the stories in FF VIII, IX, and X that much...

yeah i know, they seem more farfetched and less intruiging, don't they? Nonetheless good stories of course...

but i doubt they should do a 'movie ---> game' thing. That almost never works. Most of the games made after movies suck. Except for James Bond (goldeneye) that is. And a few other exceptions.

your right about FFVIII that game totaly suxed but i luved ix and x... i think FFVII was the best final fantasy ever so if they were gonna make a movie id say make it on FFVII because that game had the best battlesystem, storyline, and magic system i luved materia! they also had the coolest badguy sephy ownz!

The Spirits Within was an OK movie for what it was...a generic sci-fi movie with someone named Cid and Gaia, but that's where the "Final Fantasy" part ends.

Even Square basically admitted the movie sucked, especially after losing around 180 million dollars and vowing to never make a movie again.

I think it was sad...the graphics were so great, they had awesome voice actors...such good potential, had they given it a better story.(Omg they killed off the black guy, he was the coolest character imo, how more generic can you get?)

As far as the original topic of this poll...I choose FF7...obviously.

the spirits within was the dumbest movie ever i felt like it had nothing to do with any of the final fantasys there is no summons no magic and the only weapon they use is guns.....
