Well the main difference is that you mosly wont find the music i posted ona CD store..hehe..that is professioal music, only found on VINYL and on specialized DJ stores (as compilations).
I DONT WANT TO START arguin about what thechno is, cos i arready understood that in USA the term "techno" is used in a different way.

The music i listed is a special RAPPED TECHNO selection, and if you have access to a store that sells VINYLs you will find all that as well.

This are real RAPPERs making techno:

    Dmx Krew
    Ural 13 Diktators
    Legowelt
    Lowfish

Who? What does it matters? Or...do you need a name to describe me? A definition by words is merely a means to deceive oneself. It's meaningless before the truth. What matters is how you perceive things. The slightest shift, then life and death no longer have any meaning.

          OK ok...

yes, techno is a sub-genre of electronic music with lots of futuristic schtuff.

If you're looking for "anthem" progressive trancey-trance, there's your typical Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed, Tiesto, Watergate, Alice Deejay, etc. One personal favorite that's somewhat underrated is Kimball Collins.

DnB you can go with DieselBoy, Tech Itch, AK1200, DJ Dara, and Aphrodite (jump up dj)

DJ Icey spins awesome funky breaks, BT who plays his own music does some neet-o trancey nubreaks. I also know a local group that plays some awesome nubreaks. You can check out some mp3s at their site.

Also look for DJ Feelgood, he's got some fun funky house. Christopher Lawrence is another "house" dj. Even though in many cases, "House" is sometimes used the same way as "techno" in coining the entire Electronic music genre.

If you wanted to get real ballsy and check out experimental and IDM, go with Aphex Twin, old skool Autechre, old skool Squarepusher, Wagon Christ, ยต-Ziq, Boards of Canada, and Chris Clark.
          Alright.... who farted?
