NAND flash gets baked, lives longer | Ars Technica
Basically, NAND atm, including in SSDs, are very short lived and are terrible for archival/enterprise purposes (which is why you don't see anyone advocating SSDs as a primary network storage/backup solution ... and not because of the cost) With rehabilitating these cells, having life extended on the order of multiple folds is a big leap in improvement. I just wonder how long it will be before it becomes commercially available?
