Yup. Pretty sure just you and me, haha. I can still remember the very first time I ever played Quartet in an arcade (!). The gameplay was mediocre, but that music has stuck in my head for nearly three decades. Instantly recognizable.

I made my char on ship 8 and moved from the 8th block to the 33th (solo play block.)

And I really like the fact they aimed for a younger audience and didn't make the game so kanji heavy. Which coupled with fully voiced cutscenes means I can understand most of what's going on.

And I have no idea why, well maybe I do, but the point is completing a quest with S rank in this game feels kinda epic even if you just slaughtered some lvl 5 mobs and getting the 100 points for the rank was kinda too easy.

Haha ... yeah, I've been aiming for S ranks when I can but the last quest I did, I went in over my head. I forgot that if you take NPCs with you, the game gets dramatically more difficult because the number of enemies will be increased with each spawn. However, after getting some good weapons and armor, I switched to Rifleman/Gunner (w/e the hell you call it) class and was having a "blast" nuking large packs of mobs with my guided missiles. Although the gun I picked up is heavy (your character actually slows hella down and you also aren't as evasive), slow reload and has a recoil that is very bad if you're positioning is delicate (i.e., sitting on top of a high point to get clear shots) Haven't tried "mage" yet, but it looks pretty fun ... my main is "Hunter" which is what they call a swordsman, I guess, and I have a Kain's lance in 3rd slot, Lightning's gunblade on 2nd slot and Cloud's ridiculous (even bigger and thicker, "that's what she said!") on my 1st slot ... lol.
