So apparently my headset isn't working right, I've been told it sounds like crap on vent. Does anyone recommend any? Bluetooth connection would be great but not necessary.
Thanks

I'm not really a fan of voice chat, so I won't be much help, but do be sure you go with something comfortable. I got a headset once for vent, and wound up wearing it as a necklace most of the time.
I can't recomend one other than the one my mate has which is high quality.
Its a Sennheiser PC166 USB headset, very clear sound, great mic pickup, all the people on CSsource have commented on the good audio quality they hear from him. Cost about £100 in the UK so expect to pay at least $100 minimum for it.
One thing I have noted with USB headphones are their is a conlict if you have a USB webcam with a built in microphone as you can't have both, it confuses the audio side.
Funny thing is, we bought 5 pair for $100 because we found an awesome deal on them and loved them so much. Everyone in the house uses them. LOL Very comfortable, not hot, volume control in the cord along with mute, mic can clip on your shirt or on the headset cord, got great reviews, comes in black or white (white is sexier LOL), etc.
also dont rule out, it might not be the mic, make sure to check all your settings
I've tried screwing with them some, but nothing seems to help. Its on my mac book pro and nothing I do seems to help. I'm going to try getting on my desktop and seeing if I still sound crappy there, since I never had complaints when I was using it.
I've changed it to the headset for outbound instead of the built in mic, but I don't know if that mic might still be the culprit.

I keep using the logitech USB headset I bought for mt Playstation 2 when I need to. It works ok on most stuff and I've even used it on Teamspeak a few times...
