Whatever you consider your main computer.

In most cases this would be your most powerful one, or the one you spend the most time on. For example, if you keep all your files on your home PC, but spend more time on your laptop, either one of them might be considered your main PC. Basically, whichever one would hurt most to lose I suppose.

I turn it off as it would just sit their sucking electricity which = sucking money from my pokets especially as electricity is due to rise in cost by up to 22% in April

I just leave mine idle. I would turn it off, but I don't want to.

I'll leave AIM and stuff up at night but pretty much turn everything off and let it idle during the day while I work.

Three computers in active use, with two having a pretty clear claim to being 'main' (in fact I am often using both consoles at once at home), but I voted for the server since it's the only one I use from every location I operate (home, work, computer labs, etc.). Kuri is running GNU/Linux (distributionless), runs a variety of services, and is the router/gateway/firewall/NAT for the network, so it tends to stay running for months at a time, going down only for hardware changes and extended power outages (I have a UPS for short outages). It's also the system I use for terminal-based applications (screen, ircii-descendants, lynx, text-editing, mutt), but it doesn't have a windowed environment (I use Meredith and Emie (notebook) for that).
