I know of VD and VDM, and use them extensivly, but I need a good set of video editing, I know VD is nice, but it's just not what I'm looking for atm.

Non-linear editor is what he needed, the other two software that was listed are not that.
Unfortunately, there is hardly any open source for Windows that can come remotely close to Adobe Premiere. Either bite the bullet or ... there's another option, but kinda borderline legal >.> (not completely and no, it's not d/l from some shady site either)
