Help with vista

Ok so i went to the gateway website to install some new drivers for my computer and it said i needed my windows vista disc to do it and it had this other instructions aswell. So i did it and then went along with it but it RE-INSTALLED vista all over again so now when i click on C drive i have a Windows folder and another folder called Windows.Old =( and all my programs and stuff are in the windows.old folder =( is there anyway i can switch back to the other vista that has all my stuff in it =(?
