And I'm gonna be in the same situation very soon, I guess I'll just move my desk a few feet away from the wall or I'll end up blind. Because I intend on spending most of my free time staring at it for the next few months..

I just built my media center PC the other day, pulling pieces out of 3 towers I had rotting in my closet (am I crazy in the fact that I can throw nothing computer related away unless it's completely and unequivically dead?), and after I pick up a new hard drive (all I had laying around that worked was a 40 gig) I fully intend to install FFXI and play it in full 1920x1080 on my 32" LCD. A friend was over last night, and for kicks I downloaded and installed the FFXI benchmark...final score was in the 6000 range (all I had laying around was 512 MB of PC2100 ram...definitely gonna upgrade to more/faster ram as soon as I can scrape up the cash)...but damn did it look nice. He, of course, said "I call TV next time I come over!"
...screw that...this is MY house ^^
PS- your setup is uber...but I'm with them, man oh man that's WAY too close, I'd be blind in like seconds ^^

Man, what the hell, you need to sit a lot further away from the screen than that! That monitor is huge.
I ended up getting the 21" Widescreen Samsung. And it's beautiful, I can adjust it to fit any position, even rotate it to portrait! And it's crystal clear, colour is perfect. There's only a bit of backlight bleeding in the bottom left corner, but you only notice that when starting up the computer. I also have my PS2 plugged into it, where I can play PS1/2 games and watch DVD's in the corner of the screen, half of the screen, or full screen. So cool.
