Right now im shopping for a good laptop to play FFXI on and I was think about getting this

Ive upgraded the processor from 1.86 GHz to 2.00GHZ and I upgraded the video card to 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache

I really dont know much about comp specs so I was woundering if you guys can help me out...Thanks!!

Unless you need a laptop for other purposes as well, in general they don't make the best gaming machines.

Don't get Windows Media Center, and if you intend to take advantage of that free upgrade fromXP Pro to Vista, you might want to consider 2gb ram if you can afford it. It wouldn't be required for Vista, the 1gb ram will do fine but it might make using it a little better. Also, get as large a HDD as you can afford.

But make very sure NOT to get Windows Media Center. Choose XP Pro under the Operating Systems icon thingy.

As long as the graphic card's pretty recent, it should run the game fine I guess. With enough memory which you already have.

I got myself an ASUS A6 model. It runs FFXI even smoother than my laptop >.> So I'm playing FFXI mainly on it now

And yes, I XP Pro
