With the new generation of Consoles the PC is starting to look less and less useful for me as a gamer, even games like Call of Duty 3 seem to be console-only.

And if SE adds support and the same graphic settings for PS3 they did with the 360 (or the PS2 version is fully compatible with the PS3's Hard drive), then buying a PS3 instead of upgrading to a better computer might be the way to go.

I really enjoy PC gaming, most of all because of the higher resolution and better graphics, but if the next console generation is capable of using a PC monitor and play at resolutions 1024x768 or higher then I might go back to consoles.

More games aviable, less hassle to play and the guarantee your system will have a long life compared to PC gaming are all good reasons to move back.

Thinking about that this last computer I built a few months ago might be the last gaming PC I'll buy in a really long time, and MS can keep doing whatever they want to do with their OS, if I have to switch to mac or try something else it wont really matter since my gaming will be secured with the PS3.
