I just completely wiped my hard drive and re-installed everything. Now, when I got back online, I see a "Mirar" toolbar setup in Internet Explorer. Anyone know anything about it or know how to remove it?

Re: What the hell!?
Hmm. Run FF, never get spyware other than a few cookies, run IE, get an assload of spyware even with an antivirus/popupblocker running in the background.
Dak, FF is just better, with the exceptions of viewing a *FEW* websites, and when that happens, you can get a plugin that lets you have a tab of IE open in FF.
Plugins alone pwn IE.

I just wish FireFox users wouldn't be so pushy. Seriously, 7/10 times someone mentions using Internet Explorer, some firefox fan has to jump in and say WTFGETFIREFOXZOMG.The Knight of Faith resigns the dream, only to believe it.

Re: What the hell!?
The only major difference between Firefox and Internet Exploder security is Firefox is not tied to the OS. But thats not saying Firefox is exactly safer in some respects its worse then Internet Exploder (sorry I cant resist calling it that) Basically if 80% of the world used Firefox then Firefox would have most of the attacks aimed at it. There are ways to make Internet Exploder much safer then the default settings but I always liked Netscape aka Mozilla better anyways.
The first thing I do when I reinstall my OS is get my security software runing. You were just unfortunally very unlucky.
Btw if you are still haveing spyware problems then try any of these forums listed here.

Re: What the hell!?
um, if you reinstalled and still got the malware, then something you reinstalled is infected.
Thrasher gives some good advice, whenever you reinstall (or install for that matter), get your security software (virus scanners + firewalls) installed first before venturing out into the intarweb.
Thanks Yyg!
