Hey now, a Dell is what my desktop is. Its not that bad, though I do want a new graphics card for it.

And I saw on Leno you can sell a "slightly shotgunned" laptop on Ebay and get 500 bucks for it.

Damn steveyos, you and I are in the same boat. Same laptop and all, model anyway. Christmas present, my grandparents bought three so they had to go cheap. I've concidered getting upgrades many times, but I tend to spend my money before I can gather enough >.>; I just prop it up and run a fan if I get lag, I live.

Well I just hear too much crap about Dell, all the time, and their spokesperson was a druggie

That 500 bucks don't sound bad, but I wouldn't wanna risk selling it to someone who can recover data even after a format and end up getting my password and stuff.

Well I could strap ten fans to this one, it isn't gonna make a difference. Unless I used that to overclock, which is something I never plan on doing no matter what PC I'm using. Not worth the risk for a few extra frames.

now it has a "Hairline" crack in it, and the repair shop has been waiting months to find a new motherboard that will work in it.

I'm gonna take Devry's online courses for gaming, and I wanna get a laptop with AMD/ATI and the kind you can drop down stairs into a pot of lava and it still works. The ones I saw were Intel, ewww no thanks.


I make under 50 a week (USD), so I gotta save up half my life just to start my damn life. Stupid knee

Well what kind do you have? I got the V5101US and it really doesn't have many problems, just kind of out-dated and lacking Linux (I think that's the name, the label with the lady on it is all worn out and the ink is probably now in my wrist/blood stream)....

I'd love to know why they put stickers where your wrists go........................... I thought about it during those dots, and I still can't think of a reason.

You can builde your own I've done it. But it takes a lot of money, time, work, and patience. And when I say money I mean a lot of money I spent twice as much on building my own then it would have cost me just to buy one but I learned a lot about how one is put together.

Mine is an Acer travelmate something something, it overheats like a hyped monkey, i leave it on for days and days, my room starts warming up and i get the ice bag in the freezer and it solves the problem.
