Computer Restart SPamming

for some unknown reason my computer just Restarts out of no where or no reason..... and now i cant even install FFXI or anything else besides the internet.... it just did it again

woa... is it doing the 10 or 30 second count down? It might be W32 Blast Worm.
I don't know if this is the one causing your problem, this worm is quite old but it does exactly that.
You will need windows XP service pack 2 at least, and follow instruction in this link

sound like your system is over heating, check your PC fans to see if they are keeping your system cooldown

also, if it isnt caused by a virus/worm. it might be that your power supply is dying or that your system isnt getting enough air flow through it. both of these things can cause a system to restart for no reason.

i had the same problem not to long ago. just out of the blue it started doing that. i did spyware scans, virus scans, an nothing came up. my cpu ran at the same temp it did since day one. problem was something had caused window files to become corrupt, all it took was for me to reformat the hard drive. after that its been running great. only other problem i can think off not mentioned is your hard drive may be taking a poop. or some other hardware.

As a feature, Windows XP doesn't display Blue Screen Of Death if not enabled, It just restarts, it could be as simple as driver conflict. (damn creative *shakes fist*)

But mine is a bit strange ... i let the comp alone for 2 days too cool down ... put fans on it , reformated it 10 times and now ..... it wont even make it through the Format ... it resets right in the middle or in other spots... i think my comp is fried

sorry.... LOL... OK im better now. yeah man. E machines royally blow. anyone i ever knew who had one, has hated the holy hell out of it. my sister had one. an i cant remember how many times i fixed it. best bet is get something new an better.

but to answer your ??? sounds like you just might have fried your hard drive.

ok lol i fixed it and yea i know Emachine blow

for some reason the extra RAM card i put it was fucking it up i dont know how ..... before it worked fine but w,e its better

Either the ram-module is broken, or there is a conflict.
