problems with 6800gt

after installing my 6800gt, it doesnt seem like it performs better than my 9800pro... the games look better... but it just doesnt seem to amaze me...

the problem thats bugging me the most happens while play FFXI... when someone casts a spell that buffs the group... once the adimation starts... ill lag a bit till the adimation is over... this never happened with my 9800pro. it also happens if theres a lot going on... and i know its not my dsl connection cause that doesnt change when it happens...

is there something i have to fine tune to get it to work right? it almost seems like i shouldve stuck with my 9800pro

i did use driver cleaner pro and Ccleaner b4 installing the 6800gt

I had a friend whose 6800GT kept over-heating until got a extra fan.

Also, you might want to go through the by-game nVidia options and switch stuff around.

Oh yeah, did you get the latest drivers from nvidia?
