lmao. Excellent point. The is similar to cutting down the size of a laser disc or a vinyl 33 1/3 album (the large kind if you're not familiar with them) so it will fit into a cd/dvd drive/player. If something for some reason dosent fit look for professional help, or at least post on a forum first, with anything worth over $25 i would atleast post on a forum if i was having trouble but with a 7800 gtx costing $600ish CAN i would make sure i knew exactly what i was doing.Originally posted by lionx

It's believable somewhat.. there are people out there with more money than brains. I work with kids, and some of the stigmas and stuff they say is just too hilarious...
Some parents give their kids a handsome amount of allowance.. some house have more than one pc, I was in this person's house that had a brand new Dell in each bedroom(Like I said.. money.. no brains @.@

ehhhhh.... I honestly feel like pulling out my hair right now x_x Actually I feel more sorry for the guy than anything else. It's hard to believe that someone would do something like that simply from inexperience but I guess we might losing perspective because most of us know enough about computer insides.
But just think about it. Instead of asking a reliable source he went through the trouble of buying the proper tools to cut it himself. I would at least have asked someone else to do it. Then they would've told me that it was a stupid idea.
By the way, his friend should be shot in the eyeball.
