If you use yahoo messenger ... I got the following message from someone on my yahoo messenger list today. DO NOT click the link.
*mass* Hi Everyone,Please check out these New pics and let me know what ya think,ok? *link removed* Thanks All!!! ;-)
I know she has a yahoo 360 page that she had been posting pictures on, so I wasn't suspicious of the login. I figured the fact that the URL didn't start with www.yahoo.com was some kind of hostname masking nifty feature with yahoo webspace. Dur! If you're savvy, you should already know where this is going. That URL leads to a spoof of the yahoo login that does nothing but steal your password and send you to an error page. I fell for it. Then I went "waaaaiit a minute" and went to www.kyasquad.com. It's a hacker group called Kill Yahoo. Dammit. So I immediately changed my password. I doubt I have anything to worry about, but it still pisses me off. So anyway, if you get a URL that starts with www.kyasquad.com don't click on it. If you do, don't put your login information into it. If you fail to heed my previous warnings, then for the love of god change your password asap.
This ends this public service announcement.
Edit: I know you meant well, but I removed the link for precaution. -fastcart
