Sometimes when I am playing FF, my computer randomly blackscreens then restarts. Right before i get the blackscreen they music starts to skip. I also notice this music skipping problem in battle and in heavily congested areas. I am running:
nForce 3 Mobo
ati 9000 64 mb
512 DDR PC2400 Ram
Windows XP HE(SP2)
AMD Athlon 3200+
Turtle Beach santa Cruz soundcard
After i gewt the blackscreen and reboot, XP says your computer has just recovered from a serious error: send error report ect.
when i send the error report, it says ati has a solution for this problem and it directs me to their driver page: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/w...=16&submit.y=8
as you can see one of these is for 9500 and up and the other one is unlabeled. I have tried downloading and installing both of these and when i try to run FF i get a tnl error. The soundcard and the video card are not flawed, they worked perfectly fine on my other system. everything else on this system is brand new. If it matters, i disabled botht he onboard sound and video through the bios. (Help me out!)
