  • Which fan is better? Does it matter?

I was just wondering but how do you tell if 1 fan is better than another? Is there specific specs to look at? For example would this fan http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...180-014&depa=0 be better than this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...999-107&depa=0 ? Also case fans can be used for heatsink fans right?

With fans I usually look at it's Air Flow. The more air pushed threw or pulled out means more of the hot air that is circulated out of the system which means a cooler system and cooler is better.

Choosing a fan depends on your preference and the application. If you really need the extra airflow and noise is not a concern go with the Thermaltake. The reason is the Thermaltake has a higher CFM this is the amout of air the fan can move. But with the extra aiflow comes the extra noise dBA. But if you want a quiter computer with decent airflow go with the Panasonic fan. Hope this helps out.
