  • Lost Partition

So basically their was some error or something with my primary hard drive which is split. The other partition is not recognized at all. So basically, I have 25 gigs of space that has disappeared. I had pretty important stuff on that partition and I don't want to lose it, but I'm running out of options because the other partition is running low on free space (down to just over a gig). Is a complete reformat inevitable or is there a way to save my missing files.

    Thanks.

try to get your hands on easy recovery pro

this sweet little program can recovery files from inaccessible partitions, drives that lost their drive tables, etc. the only thing that it didn't recover is any failures due to big FAT (file allocation table) errors (pun intended). but if you're using FAT then you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
