Heya

Can anyone tell me if the Geforce FX 5950 Ultra 256Mb w/ 8X AGP
Is a good Video card? no-one i know who plays FFXI have one. and how does it compare to a Radeon 9800 Pro?

Due to the WIMTBP marketing schem from Nvidia, You very well could have less problems with SOME games in terms of compatability, as well as more support for things like monitor calibration software and the like.

That being said The ATI 9800xt is a great value with cool technology such as "over drive" Which is currently useless unless you happen to water cool. ATI also boasts better I.Q than the last generation Geforces.

So it is infact up to you as both have thier ups and downs.

If you happen to trip over a box of money... get an X800XT as it is the best bang for buck this generation so far.
