if you really need to replace it for 200, get the 9600xt, no problems with it in my comp (other than damn caseis so stuffy that normal temp is >40 degrees C)

either 9600xt (regular isn't anywhere near as good, pro costs same as xt) or 9700 (or pro) are good video cards that kick the crap out of most other cards... i thought hdd was more like $100...

It's $100 total. The game alone costs fifty, and the hard disk drive costs another fifty. It's a pretty good deal - but I seriously doubt the graphics will even compare to the PC's. Don't quote me on this, but I think the emotion engine is slightly more advanced on the PlayStation 2 version. I'm not positive though. :spin:"You want it? yoshi, the "emotion engine" is not a software thing, it is the chipset powering the PS2 (therefore has nothing to do with ffxi).... ps2 is pretty powerful for games, but it runs at a lower resolution (normal tv handles 640x480 in ntsc) and at a lower max framerate possible (game capped at 30 fps on pc, ntsc runs at 29.97 i believe, though that is almost impossible to differenciate).... the big difference is that my sweet video card has normal anisoscopic filter and antialiasing set to a pretty high level, 8x and 4x....
if you have a ps2+keyboard+network adaptor, and don't already have teh game, get the ps2 version and save yourself a few bucks, but if yuo don't have any of those requirement, it may be cheaper to just replace the card and get a good looking game
*i know there are a lot of misspellings, but, im jus to lasy adn careles too bather fixin thim

I have no idea what you just said, but you seem to know your stuff. I am just saying what I heard. Although the PS2 version is cheaper, in my opinion, the overall quality on the PC is better (that is, if you meet all of the hardware requirments)."You want it?
