        While we're on the subject..

I'm looking at this notebook that a friend is selling for $700:

        Dell 2650 Laptop

        P4-M 1.8Ghz cpu
        128mb ram (DDR)
        20gb Hard drive
        14.1 Active matrix TFT screen
        DVD/CDRW combo drive
        Modem
        10/100 Ethernet

        Includes lots of cool accessories...

        Cooling pad (USB powered)
        Optical mini mouse (USB)
Padded bag (backpack style, HAS A POCKET FOR CELL PHONE WOOHOO!!)
        802.11b PCMCIA Linksys
        802.11b Linksys Wireless AP

Said he's babied it so far, no scratches but the darn thing has a 16 MB video card! AHHHHH!

Would this need to be sent to a Dell tech center to have a new [prolly $400 mid-range 128 MB] card stuck in it?

As far as that computer you're looking at:
          Overkill =)

Yes, that will easily run with graphics up and a higher resolution.
3 ghz with 800 FSB is amazing!

512 MB RAM should be okay, but that's what I have!

1.01 ghz AMD Thunderbird something-or-other with graphite mod!
          512 MB PC2100 [?] RAM
          GeForce 2 MX 440 64 MB

I run mine at a moderate resolution with weather and most graphics turned down.
It works until I hit AOE spells and large battlegrounds.

That video card is about par with the GeForce 4 MX, though it is really good with anti-aliasing.
The Ti-4200 will beat it by an average of 20 frames per second, but that card will be nice for this game.

Well here is my input on it. That PC that your wanting would be AWESOME, BUT stay the hell away from the FX cards. I have an FX 5600 and it's a POS BIG time.... I'm sorry but pls dont get any of the FX cards. I have this one and I HATE it.

You think you're the best, but there is always someone better.
