  • Motherboard switch w/o reformat/reinstall?

I am considering changing my motherboard in a couple days. I was wondering if it is safe to just swap the motherboards without doing a reformat and reinstalling windows? I plan on doing one later, maybe over the weekend, but it just seems like a huge hassle. The only problem I can see is maybe having to update motherboard drivers once windows loads up. But, I'm afraid if windows decides to drive the new motherboard with old drivers, and what the consequences are of that.

    I am going from:

    ECS K7S5A
    to
    ECS L7S7A

    on Windows 2000 Pro.

    Thanks!

it should work perfectly fine, after all, it's just drivers that need to update, worst that happens is you need to install drivers outside windows (the old dos way, should be fairly easy if they supply a guide on it:sweat: )
