What do I buy?

I've seen lots of video card topics but so far none seem to really help.

I currently have an Nvidia GeForce2 64MB and 128 MB of RAM.

I plan on getting more RAM soon (but its a bastard to get more RAM through Dell) but I want a better video card also so I can at least play this game in high resolution with out slowing down a whole lot.

I was planning on getting an Nvidia GeForceFX 128MB DDR AGP, but is there a better card for around the same price range?
BTW this card cost about $100.

1st: You're being far too vague.
2nd: You do not have to buy Dells RAM. Tell me what model you have and I'll see if I can find some RAM for you.
3rd: IMO GeForce isn't the way to go...But I don't know the rest of your system specs. Does it have an AGP port? What's the rest of the system look like? Processor, current RAM etc? If you don't have anything above 1 Ghz I'm sure that card will work for you just fine. If you have a faster computer I would suggest not skimping on the price and go for an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. You really get what you pay for.

don't bother going though dell.... i had to get two 256mb sticks of ecc rambus at 800mh, and that was next to impossible (dell had none for resale).... after two weeks searching newegg, pricewatch, and more, i found the samsung ram i need (rambus 800, cl2-2)


if your processor is below 2 gh, a 9800 will be a waste... just get a ti 4200 (64 or 128mb, doesn't matter), if all you want it for is ffxi and other dx8.1 games
