  • How can a high-end computer get a 4000 benchmark rating?

If you have seen my, post about upgrading my computer, then you know the type of computer I own. What I was wondering is why my computer is getting only 4000 pts on the benchmark? And what should I do to improve my scrore?

I presume that you're referring to Vana'diel Bench v2, and if that's the case, then 4000 is nothing to sneeze at. Go to the bottom of this link to see how your system stacks up in terms of its benchmark rating. Remembering what I can of what you posted elsewhere, the only thing I can really think of is maybe upgrading the video card if you want to push that score even higher.

EDIT: One other thing occurred to me: I'm not sure what you have your AA/Anistropic Filtering settings at, but they might be affecting things as far as your score goes. The higher those settings are, the lower your framerates in general, though the Radeon 9700 should be able to handle up to at least the mid settings without too much trouble.
