why not get an external drive for storage? there is a good one that is a half terabyte for around 300 in some places...

if you need to get an internal, you could move everything into the 60 gig one (including registry), rename it to c:, and swap it out (may not be this easy, but it's the general idea.... may require many more steps though)...

external drives are the best thing if you just need storage...

It's hard to tell exactly what your asking. If you have a C and a G drive, both local it's possible that they are seperate partitions of the same drive, unless you have 1 16 GB drive and 1 60 GB drive. What is disk D? Isn't that your CD Rom drive or something? Or is that a different designation. The simple answer is that if you have 60 GBs of space available on one of your partitions why don't you just start storing/installing stuff there? It doesn't change anything, when it asks you where to install just select the G drive.

Change the environment variables to fool Windows into thinking it's on the 60 GB drive

            Oh boy...

When you say download a program do you mean INSTALL a program. Downloading refers to the transfer of a file (often from the internet) from a host to yourself.

Any time you install something there will be a screen at some point that asks you if you want to change the install directory and it will usually have a button that says "Browse".

If you download something it should pop up where you want to download to...Unless it's a media type of file it may just start playing it. That's correctable to by right click and selecting "Save Target As"
