After a lot of undecisiveness about wether I need a new computer or not I decided I want to try and put one together (I am a C.S. Major I need to learn how to do this).
So I havent done that much shopping around online but I will.
I did however check out my local computer store and this is the "Ultamite Game" system they offer. Just wondering what you guys think?
$ 1014 + $120 for Labor, or I can try and put it together myself.
C4L 7N400Pro2 FSB 400 8x agp Dual-Chan 512(2*256) mb DDR 400 mem/ 120 GB 7200 Rpm HD
52x32x52 CDRW/16x DVD/ USB 2.0 Lan sata
ATI 9200xe 128mb DDR DVI TV out
Ath XP 2600+ 2GZ 333 fsb
+ keyboard, Optical Mouse, and some Speakers
(this is exactly what he wrote, I asked for list of parts but he said its basically all writen. the motherboard was made by Gigabyte)
What I had in mind before going to the store was an Athlon 64 3000 and ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard ATI 9600, basically just copy what alienware sells, but is the machine their selling at my local computer store that bad? It doesnt sound that good to me considering what other people made for 1k.
