  • FFXI Graphics Question

Does FFXI not support FSAA and Ansiotrophic filtering? When I apply these settings with my 9800 Pro they dont seem to take effect in the game. I still see jagged lines and things like that. I also seem to get some weirdness where texture patterns show some white lines every now and again along the seams.

    My Specs:

    P4 3 Ghz
    1 GB PC3200
    Abit IC7
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
    Creative Audigy 2 Platinum
Seagate 120GB 7200 RPM SATA HD

I think its just some compatibilty with radeon cards. I've been reading other threads with similar issues and Radeon cards.

You're probably right. I have the same vid card as you and simila specs, all AA and AF settings to max and diagonal lines still look jagged. I also get occasional white lines along texture seams.

I really think you're being just a little bit anal. The diagonal lines aren't THAT jaggy, NOTHING like flight sims of the past LOL. I turned on AA and AF and I started noticing small seems in textures between blocks. This is attributed to over processing. The fact is that Radeons handle AA and AF TOO well for the current games.

how am I being anal? The settings happen even with no AA forced on. White lines along texture seems gets annoying after awhile. I've adjust the resolution several times, it makes no difference.
