    i have a problem!

i built my computer yesterday, and everything was great (for the most part) until it was ready for use.

every time i try to use something like AIM, MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player, or the FFXI Benchmark, my computer freezes. when i run the computer in safe mode, i don't have this problem.

BIOS reads that everything is running fine, and task manager shows that nothing is taking up a buttload of processing power. i downloaded the latest GeForce Drivers and drivers for my audio system.

since it works in safe mode, i know it's not a hardware problem...anyone have any input?

    thanks :D

    UPDATE

    ...still messed up.

    BUT!

I know what the problem is.

i disabled the display drivers on my video card and it works fine with the default display drivers. so i know what the problem is, my video card, i just dunno how to fix it...It's a pretty cruddy card, but it's all i had, still saving up for a new one. It works perfectly fine on the computer it was previously used in. I've already tried uninstalling the card and reinstalling it with the drivers on the install CD.

    any ideas?
