  • Help, how to disable integrated video

Ok huh, I bought a new pc, it wasn't suposed to have any video card in it, but somehow it seems there is somewhat of an integrated video card or something.

I have a pci card that I want to use, it is properly installed. The problem is, the integrated thing is by default my video card, it cannot be disabled trough System Options (like I could with my old system), there is no checkbox at all to disable it.

I go to Active desktop>personnalize and in Parameters, there is 4 different monitors there. The first 2 are connected to the integrated thing, the last 2 to to my good GeForce card. There doesn't seem to be any way for me to put the Geforce as the main card, or to disable the integrated one.

If anyone knows what I can do please let me know it's starting to drive me nuts.

P.S. If you're gonna say to disable something on my motherboard, I really have no clue how to do that.

BTW the integrated thing I'm talking about is called VIA/S3G KM400, if that means anything to anyone.

I dont know if this will help, I still have to install a new PCI card (no agp, and still using the integrated card that came in my pc). But in my BIOs there is some thing that says "Use PCI video card if installed" and another that says "Use Onboard video card if installed". Hope it helps...If it doesnt, then this topic will be usefull top me when I upgrade, I dont know how to change it other then that way.

its almost defintly in the BIOS, look for something relating to "disabling onboard video card", or use "PCI card etc"
