Data1.cab Installation Error
Wow, I've had FFXI for 3 days now and I can't play it because of this silly error. It's Error 1335: "cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used." I've heard that you should try installing the game with different cd drives, so I've tried a CD-RW drive, a DVD-ROM drive, and a CD-ROM drive but still get this error. Also, I've tried burning an image file to my hard drive and mounting it with daemon tools, but still get the same error. And, I've tried copying the files to the hard drive from the CD and installing it after copying, and I still get this error.
So, my plea is this, can someone email me the FTP that FFXI can be downloaded from? Apparently, if you call customer service and have tried everything I mentioned above and you still can't install the game, they give you a link to the FTP so you can download FFXI yourself. Unfortunately, there's a block on my phone so I can only call locally... Therefore, someone please email me kstrider@bellsouth.net
