Flashing horizontal lines

Anyone else experience a problem similar to this? I get flashes of horizontal lines, about one every minute, at random places on my screen. I used to get it occasionally before the patch, but nothing as bad as it is now. I never had the problem at all untill about a month ago.



None of my other games have a problem like this... they all work perfect.

System:
Abit NF7-S 2.0 (nforce2)
Barton 2500+ @ 2GHz, 400MHz FSB
512MB PC3200 Corsair RAM (running in dual channel)
Using on board, nVidia SoundStorm sound
Radeon 8500 @ 285/285
400W Antec PSU
2x CD drives
1x 40GB Maxtor HDD
Windows 2000

System temps are fine... around 35C idle, 39/40C load. MB temp is 22C.

I haven't even tried asking Square Enix yet. I figure they'd just give me some response about how my video card isn't on their list of supported cards.

Try turning down the video card's clock speeds a little. I had a similar problem when I overclocked my Geforce 3 too much, with occasional dropped textures and lines across objects. Other than that, I'm stumped.
