  • Can someone help me find a good Monitor?

I'm looking to get a new monitor for xmas. The one I have is like 5-6 years old, it's getting very bad. I could sure use a new one I found this one what does everyone think of it? here is the link. http://www.ascendtech.us/itemdesc.asp?CartId={5EBBEB28-582EVEREST6-48E9-B710-28690F5E3608}&ic=M17KDSXF7I&eq=&Tp=

You think you're the best, but there is always someone better.

    The link doesn't work.

Anyway, I would not buy any of those fancy flat plasmas and stuff. They aren't any better than the good ol' big chunks, but they're a lot more expensive. My own monitor must be like 7-8 years old and it's still alive and kicking and the image quality is about as crispy as it gets (I think).

To Screen or not to Screen

The first screen I had was a 19" plasma. That was before someone kicked in my front door and stole my whole comp setup. When I had the plasma screen I thought it brought the characteristics of the game to a higher level than when I saw the same game with a good ol' big chunk. I do have to agree that the plasma sceens are very expensive but you get what you pay for. You can get a 15" plasma for a couple of hundred, even less if you can do a trade in.

Ohh yeah and that web site did not work.

        monitor

If you are looking for a cheap, quality CRT, I'd go with a Viewsonic A90f+... it's a 19" and it works great... all for about $160. You cant beat the price for the performance you get. There might be better monitors out there, but not for the price. It's my recommendation for sure. Hope it helps!
