Java chat blows up

Ok, this problem will most likely be solved when I re-install windows in about 20 days (more on that later) but whenever I go to Java chat, it closes ALL of my internet explorer windows. I was in it once, and after that this started happeneing, so I know I have everything needed to start it up. What's yous guy's opnions?

did you happen to have the sun microsystems and microsoft versions of java, now or a time in the past?

if you did, that is the problem, but i have yet to find the solution... sun is lying when they say that you can have both on the same comp..

Hmm check if your using sun or microsoft.. and if that fails but you want to get on the chat its pretty easy without using the java, pop down to mirc.com and download that, install open and set your username and whatnot. save, and open the ffxionline.com, click on the link on the left hand bar, that says Chat Room (mIRC) and mirc will open up the chat.
