Help! Purchasing new computer!

Hi to all you computer guru's and whatnot that you call yourself.
I am preparring to purchase a new computer so I may play FFXI. I have two problems however; I do not know much of anything about computers, I have $750 usd to spend. I am in need of EVERYTHING! :confused: I need a monitor, video card, and computer with everything. Could someone help me out? A web site is not enough I'm afraid I'm not knowledged enough in computers to figure out from a site. If anyone could post all the parts I need and where to find them all for 750 (oh that includes s&h..told you I was in a mess) I'd appreciate it

i suggest you go athlon xp+ddr333mh ram+ti series card (for price purposes). the average config there will be about 500 or so, if you include case+lan card+OS+cheap keyboard+cheap mouse+80gig hdd (all this is an estimate, the price may be up to 200 more if you are unlucky with prices). then cheap dvd rom drive is about $40, speakers for $40-100. if you already have a monitor (salvaged from a good friend if that is possible), then you should make it with a few bucks to spare, else it's 150 for a cheap 17" CTR, >500 for a 17"LCD monitor.

integrated audio didn't get a better one since the amd has a good sound system on it well thats what i heard.
