Will ffxi run on my comp?

not sure if this will work or not, it was given to me by a friend, so
plz let me know, if it not he will replace some parts but he said they should work. I am not sure what graphix card i have but, i will get a new one hopefully there not expensive. let me know asap plz, b/c the game is out and i neeeeed to go get it, but first i have to sadly have the proper machine, i was just looking at ebay.com and they offer some for like 5 dollars-100 dollars for GeForceFX 5600

Alright, well for starters, why not run the benchmark first? Go to Playonline.com then select your location then when the FFXI site appears search around for "Benchmark 2"

After installation, run the benchmark, if it runs, chances are you can play it. You'll also notice a number in the right hand corner getting bigger.

When the screen fades to black, take note of what that number was.

Also this number will vary depending on if you ran the benchmark on "Low" resolution or "high" resolution, run it on both. Then take note of your scores and post them back in here.

And for your graphics card, dont get a GeForce5600FX, the cards arent good at all. If you really can't go over a hundred bucks, just get an ATi Radeon 9200. But if you can, I suggest gettin a 9600 Pro/9700 Pro.

yeah i spent my entire part-time job pay check on hooking my room up i just got moved to the basement ^_^
so the cheaper the better as long as it is good for the game is kool, so i will check out ATi Radeon 9200, ty:spin:
