Motherboard and AGP question..

Okay, this is my actual motherboard:
Asus7v333

Is this board too old? or it's enough to play FFXI NICELY? (I think it doesnt support AGP 8x)
My other computer specs are..
AMD XP 3000+ (2,158)
Radeon 9600 pro 256
1GB 333MHz DDR PC2700 DIMM CL2.5 (512x2)

I'm confused because everyone says that I have a great computer and all, but my score in the benchmark was only 5,1k on low and 3,5k on high, when I'm seeing people that got like 6k on high :sweat:

There's a big difference between AGP 4x -> AGP 8x ?

Well, 8X is better. It theoretically moves twice as fast as 4X but your scores are great. If you feel the need to upgrade you certainly can and you might see some improvement from 8X but with 3500 on high you should have a perfect FFXI experience.

I wouldn't worry too much about your score, stick with what you have till you've played for a week or so. My experience with Massive Multiplayer games is that, benchmarks don't really do a good job of showing how well your computer is going to do anyway. When you get 30 moving people on a screen, each of whom have say, 10 pieces of equipment, most computers will handle that differently then most benchmarks. Good luck to you when the game comes out.

heh u got like 600 more then me on low but i beat you by 200 on high which matters more to me Lol.

high = 3700+
