You can use Access for websites but I don't recommend it. Access does not do well with more than 40 users. MySQL is more of a standard for website design unless you have thousands to spend on SQL Server or Oracle
MySQL also happens to be Open Source (i.e. free) and is fully supported by ASP and JDBC (and is often used by php). Visit the link below for more info.
