need some opinions fast on a 9800 pro deal

my friend's been offered a 9800 pro, for 265. but it's OEM~ i believe it's an ATI.

but anyways, is this worth it? is there something wrong with OEM cards? i heard that in general, 9800 pros are very similar, OEM or retail, powercolor or not. (although powercolor seems to have a bad name)

any help would be appreciated =D

Granted Video cards arent my thing. But i havent had problems with other oem products. But unless he has another 50$ I personally would take the cheaper oem. But then brand name has never been all that important to me.

Usually refurbished or a house brand. Either way that card will own any game out atm.

For half the price of a new 9800PRO you could do a lot worse. If the card is new enough it may stil be under warranty so that if it goes bad and you are good enough friends with your friend he RMA it for you or if the warranty is transferrable you can do it yourself.
