Got comething against my CPU

I have a small question here.
I ran the v2.0 bennchmark on my comp. and I cannot understand the low score I got. I've read scores of other ppl with less powerfull computers and they got better scores.

STATS:
Intel CELERON 2,4Ghz
512 DDRAM
ATI RADEON 9200 ATLANTIS 128Mb
Score : 1923

So, Is ffxi not optimized for CELERON or is there something else I should check...

I know I can run FFXI, but I'm just concerned about this score

agp or pci 9200?
if it's high on agp, that is good enough score, if it's low on pci, that is expected, other than that, NEED MORE INFO.

well, 1923 is on my low Res. got 1717 on high.
And My card is AGP, I've never seen a RADEON 9000 and above PCI.

Well you problem could be the processor. Celeron is not exactly the strongest processor even at 2.4 Ghz. Also the 9200 is a lower-end ATI although it will run ok.

Its definatly the processor thats holding you back, don't forget that ffxi is a very cpu intensive game. So if i were you i would dump that celly(which is if i remember correctly is basically the original p4 " Willamette" processor, which was a pos) and get a amd athlon 2500+ for like 85 bucks US and a decent mb and your be set.

Oh and you will prob want to invest in some new ddr400 ram(pc3200) so that your old stuff dosn't hold back your athlon.
