Finally going to upgrade (so so so sorry ^^;)

Can't believe I'm actually making one of these topics, but here I am. I know there are like a billion of them per day and I apologize now for adding on to the clutter :p . Anywho, this is what I'm currently working with:

P4 1.9 GHz
512 MB RAM
40 GB HardDrive
Cable Connection
Geforce3 MX/MX 400 (i should be beaten for this)

I ran the newest Benchmark and received a 1400 on the low settings, so I didn't even bother to try running the high settings test. Thankfully, I believe I'll be able to update to a new card soon. Now the thing is, I'm only 16, but I am employed! (applause) and my budget is about $160 for a card assuming I get payed on time. Now what I had in mind was a Radeon 9600 Pro I saw at BestBuy, and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how well my computer would run on that card, and how well, if at all, my computer will run with my current card with the low settings until I upgrade. All your help is greatly appreciated, and sorry again for the "will my card work" post. :sweat:

well im kinda a intermediate neb at comps, but as far as i know, ( i getting the same card), yur comp will be a beaut. Especially from
Geforce3 MX/MX 400! For more info check the benchmark sticky.

a 9600pro will make a huge difference. I myself am also getting one.

Oh no! (i hate my job) Looks like I won't be getting the money I need for my graphics card anytime before the game is released, so can anyone give me an idea of how craptacular my game will be with the *chokes* Geforce card I'm currently using?

my score jumped like 2000points on high when i got my 9600pro. Now im scoring 3700+ on high.

and with the geforce it well... play it on the low res with nothing turned on.... hell dont play it till u get the 9600pro lol.

I'd save up 40$ and get hte 9600 XT >.>
