Don't think you'll have to worry to much. The ports under 1024 are all mostly default ports for stuff like FTP and Telnet protocols.
TCP and UDP ports are usually much higher ports numbers. You can use a Proxy, just depending on if you setup any personal firewalls or how the proxy works you may need to find what TCP and UDP ports the game does use then to make sure those ones are open for it.

go to your router, foward ports 50000-65535, both tcp and udp to your ip. problem solved. no proxies are needed.

just open tcp and udp for 50000-65535, it's easier that way.

Problem is that it's not me who blocks these ports. My ISP does this. I don't have a router or firewall myself. I can see ports 45, 110, etc... under 1024 could be in use. These are blocked, except for port 80. Do you think this will be a problem?

The PS2 network adapter just got released over hear in OZ land and ive been having lots of trouble getting past the firewall
but it worked just before so i hope its going to continue to work because Hardware: Online Arena is addictive
