Anyone know if the PowerColor ATI RADEON 9200 128mb 8x AGP will work? Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere yet...

Well, what do you get on the benchmark, it's not just your videocard. I have an ATI Radeon 9000, and right now, I'm close to getting 2500 (I had almost 3000, 297, but computer crashed. )

thats got to be the most BS idotic answer that does not answer his question.

I also am asking this. The FFXI official site does not mention confirmed support for the Radeon 9200. Who who has beta tested can confirm the support or not?

How is it a stupid answer? I have a lower card then he does. If mine works, and runs the benchmark. He could just as well himself run the benchmark and find out. So could yourself. If your video card, and your system meet the minimum requirements, then YES< you can run FFXI.

        Minimum System Requirements
        Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 98 / 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP
CPU: Intel® Pentium®III 800Mhz or faster processor (InuTrunks NOte: Equal to about an Athlon 750)
        Memory: 128 MB RAM
Graphics Card: 9000 series graphics card
        NVIDIA® GeForce™ series graphics processing unit with 32MB or ATI® RADEON™
Sound Card: DirectX®8.1 compatible sound card
Hard Drive Space: 6 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM Speed: 4x CD-ROM drive (required only at installation)
        Other: Keyboard, mouse

        Recommended System
        Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP
        CPU: Intel® Pentium®4 processor (Athlon XP ____+) (atleast 1.0GHz)
        Memory: 256 MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce3™ or GeForce4™ Ti series graphics processing unit (AGP) with 64MB of VRAM. (ATI 9000 Series)
Sound Card: DirectX®8.1 compatible sound card
Hard Drive Space: 6 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM: 32x CD-ROM drive or faster (required only at installation)
        Internet Connection: Always-on Internet connection
Other: Keyboard with 10-key numeric pad, mouse with scroll wheel

        THere you go.

Also, Download and run the benchmark.

        Scroes from the benchmark.

First of all i asked the question because i didn't actually have the card yet. I do now though, and the benchmark at hi-res is 1889 while low res is about 3000. Which should i run it at?

            DDK, Don't mind DSCS.

FFXI dosn't just run on your video card, how much ram, and what's your processor? (If DDR Ram, I need the mhz)

                Stop with the flaming....

I myself also have a 9200 and I got a score of 2600 in high, and 3000 something in low. I think running FF11 in low brings smooth play, but it doesn't look as clear as in high; though I got some lose of frames. I'm going to play it in high because of my score and it does fine enough.
Benchmark tests are to push your computer and see what happens so you know if it'll crash when your playing; or play at all.
Come X-mess time though, I'm upgrading, most likely. Yet that's because I want BETTER! That's just me though, and I have the money to do so. Lastly, you'll like your 9200, but when you get the chance, go bigger.
                May it ever be so.

Oh gee, it doesn't list the 9600 or the 9800 either. That does not mean they won't work. InuTrunks is right. It doesn't matter what your card is. Run the Benchmark. Whether or not it runs and your scores therein determine whether or not your video card is able to run the game.
Notice also the driver version mentioned. those are the catalyst 3.1s. that doesn't mean newer drivers won't work.

                    Re: ATI Radeon 9200

now could someone send the benchmark to my email because all my attempts to download benchmark failed because it wouldnt save the cookie. I tried changing all my privacy settings but no luck. I need to check because I have a ATI Radeon 9200 and when I run FFXI it gets to the main menu and when I click Create Character it crashes saying there was a problem with the ati3duag.dll and that it had an invalid memory space. Should I try to find a patch for my card online or just upgrade it?

                    my email is DZDarkPhoenix@msn.com

                      Re: ATI Radeon 9200

Try uninstalling your videocard drivers and installing the newest videocard drivers and see if it works.
And yes as long as a videocrad is in the 9k series it is supported by the game. But really try uninstalling your old video card drivers and install the newest drivers from ATI it should work.

                      Guru of 3d has vana'diel bench3 for download. http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=922

And the 9200 is on the list of compatable videocards. This is the offical list
