  • System Configurations and all that stuff

I was wondering how well my comp might do with the game...Sadly, I doubt I could upgrade anything that might need it, because, Im just 15, no job, and it's my parents comp...So to speak...Im not sure what I should put here, so I'll just post anything I find...Here goes.

ACPI Uniprocessor PC - My computer

    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.20GHz - Processor

Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection - Network Adapter

Gateway Modem Cable Connection Type Thingie - Internet Connection

    HL-DT-ST DW/DVD GCC 4480B -DVD/CD Rom Drive

Plug and Play Flat Screen Monitor

    Intel(R) 82845G Graphics Controller - Display Adapter

Im sorry if I don't have anything else that might prove helpful, to put it bluntly, I don't know much about my computer. I was worried though, and sleep deprived last night thinking about it though. The computer runs fast enough, and by fast enough, I mean fast, and I just didnt want the thing to blow up when I get the game.

The only thing slowing down my computer is a damn pop-up program I can't find, so I might have to delete my account.

On my old computer, I tried installing a LOTR Game, the one with Frodo and Gandalf and such, and the visuals sucked, I couldnt control the game, and it was really slow. But aside from that, I can play games like Lineage The Blood Pledge, and Ragnarok Online easy and fast...Then again, you also had to kick my old computer to get it working...And it took near twenty minutes to load up upon first entering my account.

Thats your main problem, you need to get a real video card and not onbord graphics like you have now. You should check the paperwork that came with your pc and see if it has a AGP spot, so you can upgrade. Either that or wait for the game to come out on the ps2. You can always download the ffxi benchmark and see if you can get it to run.

      Yup...

Actually, I did want the PS2 version, but I have no PS2...When Christmas time came, I stuck with my good old "thugs" at Nintendo, and got the Gamecube. And I don't regret it. Anyway, yeah, I'll have to check with my step-father about that, or my mom to check with him...She's the only one who can get him to do anything for me. But thank you for the info ^_^ Hopefully, the benchmark will clerify a few things for me. I never thought of that.

      ...

And I went to the website, and saw the prefered mouse was one with a scroll wheel? What would that be used for in the game, and how do the controls feel on a keyboard?
