Opinons: Jornada 720

I just brought a HP Jornada 720 off ebay. Search google for infomation, I was just wondering what you guys think. BTW, I'm a student, and I think it will be very helpful.

that is one of the most powerful pda's out there. i think that the dell axim has a faster processor (300-400mh versions ), but these are good for just about anything. the only problem with almost all pda's, is that they don't have hdd (like the ipod.. wish one did), and the maximum storage size is now at 1gig of info. that is more than enough, but if a 256mb card costs $100-200, imagine a larger one:sweat: .

it is a bit uglier than the other jordanas though, but if you don't mind that, it's good.

If you like sucking your mobile device's power with spinning magnetic discs, microdrives exist and would work in this device's PCMCIA slot. (not recommended over solid state memory cards)

You could've gotten a cheapo pocket pc with a foldup keyboard for the same price, but I think the HPC's all-in-one design is a lot more convenient for students. Sexy gadget!

it may be old, but it can still run all of the pocket windows apps, that makes it powerful right there. i like the axim better, it's faster and has more memory, but it's expensive and doen't come with a keyboard. if pda's did have an hdd, they would have a good Li battery. i don't think that the companies are that stupid, they are just cheap, so you may have to buy that battery appart. magnetic shielding also sounds like a good idea, some subwoofers have that, and you can keep them withing 5' of a ctr monitor without the colors being distorted:sweat:

i thought that that is only about a year old though, i know i have a 560-640(don't know which) laying around somewhere and it's just over a year old now(brand new back then).

Well I think that it's sweet haha. Its coming in 6-9 days... and I have a wireless card with the proper drivers for it. and i have msn for it too.. sweet... i have wireless at my house btw... i can't wait and than its a mp3 player too..
