Fixing my firewall

i am haveing problems getting to my firewall settings so ill type out the guts of the error
"The windows managment Instrumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted". It then goes on to say to do a system restore which i have tried and has not worked.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem???

try an earlier restor point, or do a repair install of xp.
