    You must remember when downloading you can only down load as fast as they send it to you. when you were on kazaa i bet the files you were downloading were from 56kers


    and there is no such thing as 100mbs internet connections, unless your friends computer is part of an oc3 or back bone.

        I'm not on LAN, I'm the only computer connected to this modem. (not sure what I just said LOL)

          Doesn't matter, you are on a 1 computer LAN. You are connected to your modem via LAN, and the speed between your computer and modem may be 100mbps, however the speed of your modem is much much slower, and same with the internet. :spin:
